The Firestick supports Bluetooth connections for headphones, speakers, game controllers, and other compatible devices. Here's how to connect them.
What Bluetooth Devices Work with Firestick?
- Bluetooth headphones and earbuds
- Bluetooth speakers
- Bluetooth game controllers (Amazon and some third-party)
- Bluetooth keyboards
- Amazon Echo devices (via Alexa integration)
How to Connect a Bluetooth Device
- Put your Bluetooth device into pairing mode (usually by holding the power or pairing button until the LED flashes)
- On your Firestick, go to Settings
- Select Controllers & Bluetooth Devices
- Select Other Bluetooth Devices
- Select Add Bluetooth Devices
- The Firestick will scan for nearby devices — select yours from the list
- Once paired, the device name will appear under Connected Devices
Connecting Bluetooth Headphones
Follow the steps above. Once connected, audio will automatically route to the headphones. Note that Bluetooth audio introduces a small delay (latency), which is generally acceptable for films and TV but may be noticeable in games or live content. For lip-sync issues, some apps have audio delay settings to compensate.
Connecting Bluetooth Speakers
The process is the same as headphones. External Bluetooth speakers typically produce significantly better audio than TV built-in speakers. A connected Bluetooth speaker takes priority over the TV's speakers.
Disconnecting or Removing a Bluetooth Device
Go to Settings > Controllers & Bluetooth Devices > Other Bluetooth Devices. Select the connected device and choose either Disconnect (temporary) or Unpair (permanent removal).
The Firestick can remember multiple Bluetooth devices but typically only connects to one at a time. Switch between paired devices from the Bluetooth settings.
Get a Firestick with IPTV
